The Sixth Grade worked very hard (with multiple extra rehearsals) on their handbells performance for the Celebration of Light concert in December. This piece, an arrangement of "White Winter Hymnal" by the band Fleet Foxes, was very challenging, but they rose to the occasion!

The Eighth Graders at SPS write one album review each term. Some of those reviews will periodically be published in the new Album Reviews page.
The Fourth Graders did an excellent job with their G Major Pentatonic Compositions. The class, as a whole, wrote the first four-bar melody, which acts as the chorus, returning in between each subsequent section. Smaller groups of 2-3 wrote their own four-bar melodies, which they take turns playing between choruses. G Major Pentatonic is a five note scale containing the notes G, A, B, D, and E. |
